Despite Ivan Salaverry retiring back in 2007, the fighter has decided to come back to the world of MMA as he prepares to fight on a BAMMA card May 21st against Matt Ewin. Salaverry will be replacing Phil Baroni who was forced to quit the show due to injuries.
Salvarry dropped two fights he had been scheduled for during 2006 and 2007 before calling it quits. It now seems that he still has fight left in his heart as he made the decision to come back to MMA. This is Salvarry’s first fight in more than 5 years.
A total of 16 fights have been planned for the evening including the main event between current BAMMA champ Murilo
