Jon “Bones” Jones came into the UFC taking the Light Heavyweight division by storm, winning the Title belt after defeating Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in the 14th fight of his career. The fight against Rua showed just how dominant Jones is, leaving the former champion battered and beaten like a wicked stepchild. Jones holds a professional record of only one loss, which occured early on in his career. Now the MMA world is left to wonder if there is anyone who can match the impressive skills of Jones. The answer is a simple yes.
It isn’t a fellow MMA fighter that has the privilege of saying he beat Jones at his game, rather the UFC stars older brother, NFL Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Arthur Jones. The elder Jones says growing up he and his brother wrestled and fought all of the time, with Jon never able to take him down.
With the NFL lockout currently in place, Arthur says he is now training in mma to stay active until it is over. The brotherly love, and fights, continue, even as the pair are now adults. According to Arthur Jones he and his brother will probably still be fighting when they are 60. Let’s just hope the UFC favorite is able to beat his brother before then.
