Quinton JacksonQuinton “Rampage” Jackson passed on a title shot against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua recently, stating the reason for decline was the short 4 week notice he had. He is scheduled to fight Matt Hamil at UFC 130, coming up May 28th. If he wins this fight, a Heavyweight title shot will definitely be in the works for Jackson.

This means that the UFC world could see Jackson in a fight against Cain Valesquez, who beat Brock Lesnar in 2010 to take the title.

Cain VelasquezValesquez has had nine professional UFC fights, each of them wins for the fighter. He is a collegiate wrestler, and currently holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Rampage is coming to the fight with a victory against Lyoto Machida, but the win was a controversial one, with many spectators giving the win to Machida. In the fight before Machida Rampage had an upsetting loss to Rashad Evans in what he is blaming to “rust” from the octagon.

Both men possess amazing punching power, strong wrestling and grappling skills, and an all around love for fighting. Seeing the two men fight for a title would be a battle of blood, and a real test that will tell if Rampage still has what it takes to fight.
